Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern Dukhan Bank Prime Banking and form an integral part of the General Terms and Conditions for Accounts and Islamic Banking Services. Subject to the Terms and Conditions of Prime Banking (“Prime Terms and Conditions”) below, I acknowledge that I shall be eligible for the Prime segment if, and so long as, I satisfy one of the following criteria:


Prime Qualification Criteria

  • A minimum net salary transferred each month to any Dukhan Bank account, at the full discretion of the customer, shall be QAR 75,000 and above.
  • A minimum monthly average of all deposits of QAR 2,500,000 and above.
  • By availing a non-salary finance of QAR 4,000,000 and above.

By joining the Prime Banking segment, I agree to be bound by the above qualification criteria. Dukhan Bank may from time to time, with notice to you, change these Terms and Conditions. The retention or use by you of the Card shall be treated as acceptance of any such change. If you do not accept any change, you shall close the Card Account and clauses relating to termination of these Terms and Conditions shall apply.


Priority Qualification and Benefits

Qualification criteria as defined above can be changed from time to time. If changed, this will be advised to you by your relationship manager, after which such new changes shall be applicable.


Third Party Service Provider

I acknowledge that some services and benefits of Prime Banking shall be provided by a third party on behalf of Dukhan Bank. I acknowledge and agree that Dukhan Bank shall not be liable for any loss, damage, liability, cost, or expense, whether legal or otherwise, arising under or as a result of the services and benefits of Prime Banking provided by the third party, other than as a result of gross negligence or misconduct on the part of Dukhan Bank or its third-party representative. In such cases, the liability of Dukhan Bank shall be limited to actual losses only.


Prime Banking Visa Card

By activating or using your Prime Banking Visa Card, you agree and acknowledge that you will be bound by its respective terms and conditions, and the Terms and Conditions of Dukhan Bank Banking Services Agreement, its related addendum, and schedules of charges. Copies of the mainly related documents are available on Dukhan Bank’s various channels, including but not limited to Dukhan Bank branches and Tariff Boards.


Downgrade of Prime Segment

  • Dukhan Bank shall have the right to downgrade your segment if you fail to meet the eligibility criteria set out in the Prime Banking Terms and Conditions.
  • You will be responsible for any charges associated with the membership segment downgrade, as determined by Dukhan Bank (if applicable), including but not limited to the charge for a new Debit Card.

The decision to downgrade your membership segment is at Dukhan Bank’s absolute discretion. This applies in the following cases:

  • If a minimum monthly salary is not transferred to the account for three (3) calendar months, the Bank will downgrade the account from the Prime segment to the applicable segment based on the threshold.
  • If a minimum average deposit is not maintained in the account for six (6) calendar months, the Bank will downgrade the account from the Prime segment to the applicable segment based on the threshold.

You may be reinstated to the Prime segment following any downgrade, provided that the membership segment meets the applicable Prime Qualification Criteria at the time of reassessment.

When you are upgraded to priority banking segments, your Dukhan Bank account will be converted automatically to the Prime segment, and the new segment Terms and Conditions, including the account features, shall be applied.
