Ministry of Commerce and Industry Signs Cooperation Agreement with Dukhan Bank to Enhance Investor Services and Facilitate Company Establishment Procedures

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI) has signed a cooperation agreement with Dukhan Bank to integrate the bank's services into the Ministry's Single Window platform, as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen public-private sector collaboration and enhance the services provided to investors through the platform.
The agreement was signed by Mr. Mubarak Abdulrahman Al Khulaifi, Director of the Single Window Department at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, and Mr. Ahmed Abdulaziz Al-Emadi, General Manager – Head of Wholesale Banking at Dukhan Bank.
Under the agreement, Dukhan Bank will enable eligible investors to open corporate bank accounts directly through the Single Window platform, in accordance with the applicable laws and procedures. The service will help accelerate company establishment procedures, simplify the investor journey, and reduce reliance on manual transactions and paper-based documentation through a more efficient and integrated digital experience.
The agreement also underscores Dukhan Bank's leading role and its commitment to developing innovative Sharia-compliant banking solutions that support Qatar's digital transformation efforts and enhance the country's business environment.
On this occasion, Mr. Mubarak Abdulrahman Al Khulaifi, Director of the Single Window Department at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, stated that the agreement with Dukhan Bank forms part of a series of cooperation agreements the Ministry is concluding with banks operating in the State, with the aim of expanding collaboration with the banking sector, facilitating procedures for investors, and providing the services required to establish companies through a unified and integrated digital platform.
He added that the agreement will further strengthen the Single Window platform's position as the Government's primary gateway for establishing and conducting business in the State of Qatar. It will also support ongoing efforts to develop the investment environment, promote business sector growth, and enhance the diversification, competitiveness, and sustainability of the national economy, in line with the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030.
For his part, Mr. Ahmed Abdulaziz Al-Emadi, General Manager – Head of Wholesale Banking at Dukhan Bank, expressed his pride in Dukhan Bank becoming the first Islamic bank to sign a cooperation agreement with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry to provide bank account opening services through the Single Window platform.
He added that the agreement represents an important milestone in the bank's ongoing efforts to develop integrated digital banking solutions that facilitate company establishment and enhance the experience of investors and entrepreneurs. The partnership reflects the importance of public-private sector collaboration in improving service efficiency and strengthening the competitiveness of Qatar's business environment. He affirmed that the bank will continue supporting national initiatives aimed at accelerating digital transformation and contributing to the development of a diversified and sustainable economy in line with the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030.
