Dukhan Bank Wins Two Awards at MEED MENA Banking Excellence Awards 2026

Dukhan Bank has received two major honors at the MEED MENA Banking Excellence Awards – Corporate & Investment 2026, with the Bank named Best Islamic Bank in Qatar and Ahmed I. Hashem, Acting Group Chief Executive Officer, named Islamic Banker of the Year.

The awards were presented on November 3 at Madinat Jumeirah, Dubai, as part of Dubai Future Finance Week 2026, which brought together senior leaders from across banking, investment, financial services, technology, and policymaking.

The two recognitions highlight Dukhan Bank’s continued progress as a leading Sharia-compliant financial institution, reflecting both the strength of its banking capabilities and the leadership supporting its strategic development. The Best Islamic Bank in Qatar recognition acknowledges the Bank’s comprehensive approach to Islamic banking across corporate and institutional banking, treasury and investments, capital markets, and tailored financing solutions. The individual recognition for Ahmed I. Hashem acknowledges his leadership as Acting Group Chief Executive Officer and his role in guiding Dukhan Bank’s continued strategic progress across its banking operations.
